This course introduces students to fundamental math skills through Blended Learning. A Blended Learning course teaches students through a combination of in-person instruction as well as independent online learning. Our in-person lessons will be where the bulk of traditional instruction occurs, while review, discussions and other activities will occur in the online section of the course. In-person classes will occur on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:15am-11:00am. During this time students will be instructed in a whole group lesson, small group/partner work, class review, and independent work.  Online learning will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the same time. During these sessions, students will be assigned educational review videos to watch, as well as practice problems, activities and/or worksheets to complete. Furthermore, students will participate in discussions regarding open-ended questions that require computational thinking, as well as reflect on their experience and understanding in their learning journals. Finally, there will be a quiz after every  module that will take place either online or in-person.
