RAD 110B: Radiographic Positioning Lab
In this blended course, students will learn the fundamentals of positioning patients in radiographic imaging procedures. The pieces of general radiographic equipment and how they operate will be explored. This includes the proper function of the x-ray tube, upright bucky, table bucky, control panel, monitor, and other ancillary equipment. In addition, students will learn proper positioning techniques of the chest, abdomen, and upper extremity. Through the use of video tutorials, students will have an idea on how to utilize x-ray imaging equipment prior to practicing the principles of radiographic positioning in a physical setting.
