The 5th Grade General Music course focuses on building fundamental music skills for the aspiring young musician. Students will engage in activities that include singing, listening, composing, and playing the recorder. The course is composed of 4 major units, each with 3-5 smaller modules which cover a specific topic. Students will learn about rhythm, note reading, pitch, dynamics, melody, harmony, critical listening, tempo and style.
