Welcome to Common Core Geometry 101 Summer Course!
Prerequisite: Students must have passed Common Core Algebra 1.
This course will cover a variety of Geometry topics and is designed to help students understand the basic fundamental concepts of Geometry. Geometry 101 is to be taken before the full year Geometry course. The topics covered will include; introductory vocabulary, solving algebraic equations, coordinate geometry, right triangle trigonometry, and similarity relating to triangles. The goal of this course is to familiarize yourself with various fundamental concepts of Geometry before taking the full year course. This course will be broken into 4 Modules, each containing varying assignments and assessments. It is the student's responsibility to stay on top of their assigned work load for each Module and participate in all discussions and activities. Upon completion of this course, students will have an understanding of basic Geometric concepts and be able to apply this understanding in the full year Geometry course.
