Welcome to EDU 660: "Autism Spectrum Disorder in the K-5 Setting"

This course, ”ASD in the k-5 setting” is designed for students interested with little to no background Autism Spectrum Disorder in the classroom. This course provides information on what ASD is, strategies to work through challenging behaviors, and classroom management skills/strategies that have shown to be successful when working with children with Autism. The goal for EDU 660 is to learn different techniques that will help students develop an in-depth understanding of ASD. At the end of this course, students will have learned strategies to create a safe environment, how to work through challenging behaviors, and how to promote inclusiveness within the classroom.
