This fully virtual Algebra 1 course aligns directly with the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics. The main topics we will cover this year include: solving equations, solving inequalities, linear functions, systems of equations/inequalities, exponential functions, polynomials, factoring, quadratic functions and radical expressions. Our focus throughout this course will be to gain a thorough understanding of each topic so that we can apply that knowledge to reason and problem solve. We will shift away from memorization of mathematical procedures and towards a deep mathematical comprehension where we can creatively apply knowledge to solve complex-problems.
