This course, Operation of Tabletop Roleplaying Games as Social Emotional Learning Tools for Educators, seeks to inform educators about the benefits of using TTRPGs to both intervene for students who have classified exceptionalities as well as how to teach social and emotional learning through the game design. Based on my completed graduate thesis, I seek as the instructor to align the CASEL competencies with the benefits of TTRPGs to prepare students at the end of the course to assess a Case Study (various assigned, instructor created) and design an intervention plan for a group of students revolving around the use of a TTRPG. Below is how I see the course being laid out:

Introduction - Overview of Tabletop RPGs and their Principles

Module 1 - Use of TTRPGs for Teaching Social Skills

Module 2 - Use of TTRPGs for Teaching Emotional Management and Relationships

Module 3 - Use of TTRPGs for Intervention in the Classroom

Module 4 - Reflection of Concepts Learned and Application

The design of this course will incorporate many scholarly sources and research-based intervention tools.
