Positive Classroom Management Skills


This course examines the theoretical models of positive classroom management and implementation for current primary and secondary education teachers (Grades 1-6). The course will ask students to examine their own classroom management strategies, while introducing them to the ideas of Rick Smith and other scholars. Students will gain insight from sharing anecdotes and strategies with their peers, and will participate in collaborative discussions. Students will examine their interactions with students, colleagues, and administrators. Additionally, students will discuss the importance of self care while juggling a rigorous career.
