BIO 130: Introduction to Physiology

This course establishes a solid foundation in chemistry, biochemistry and cellular biology. Students will examine the hierarchy of life with an emphasis on the atomic, molecular and cellular levels. Students will evaluate emergent properties at each of these three levels and identify how they are governed by basic chemical and physical principles. This course requires basic computational skills and serves as a prerequisite for BIO 131: Anatomy & Physiology I for those students referred after testing.
