This course will explore the beginnings of statistics in a real-world view for Algebra 1 students. Statistics is something that can be seen in sports, business, and other aspects of life. Using student interests, I will integrate them into the lessons to make this more applicable to our lives. Students will be able to create a frequency table, represent data using histogram or box plots, use scatter plots to represent data, and given a set of data, will calculate and interpret mean and standard deviation in real-world contexts.
