Social Media Basics for Professionals
This course will introduce students to various social media platforms and how to leverage them for the purposes of marketing, customer service, communication, office productivity and professional branding.
While the social media landscape is always changing, we will focus on the most popular social media applications including WordPress, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, Snapchat, Instagram, and Google Docs/Drive. Students will have the opportunity to curate a professional online presence through creating and sharing appropriate content on and across each platform.

- Demonstrate appropriate use and content sharing for each social media platform.
- Compare and contrast the functionality of various popular social media platforms.
- Create unified branding across all social media platforms.
- Use available analytical tools to identify audience demographics and explore communication and marketing for targeted demographics.
