Course Description
Introduction to Architecture is a fully online, undergraduate 100 level course that will provide detailed information about architectural design and development. Architecture is defined as designing buildings and structures through the use of art and science. Some examples of architecture include, but are not limited to; town planning, urban design, landscape architecture, and furniture and objects planning. In this course we will go over what is means to be an architect, the different styles of architecture, and learn to how to create and develop a blueprint.
Goals and Objectives
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Define what it means to be an architect
- Understand the requirements for becoming an architect
- Identify the different architectural styles
- Understand the techniques and materials used in architecture
- Become proficient in architectural design
