Music Theory 1: Fundamental to any good piece of music is rhythm and pitch. Participation in this course will provide students with an entry level of understanding in both topics. Through an asynchronous format, students will be guided through various listening, composing, and reflection activities to hone their musical craft. Students will use both popular music and classical repertoire to guide their studies, culminating in the creation of their own musical composition of any genre. No prior music knowledge is required, all background knowledges welcomed! This is a full year course and completion of the course will accrue one fine arts credit.
