Course Topic: Global History Study - Human Rights Violations
Welcome to Global History's course on the greatest enduring issue of all time: human rights violations! In this course, we will examine some of modern humanities worst of times. Enduring issues are problems that have affected millions of people at different times and different places throughout history. Human rights violations are one of the oldest enduring issues in the book, but only recognized as violations as recently as 1949. We will examine case studies of human rights violations, primary source documentation from those who experienced the violations first-hand and secondary sources that revisit the events in history from differing viewpoints. Not just for learning's sake, but also human rights violations need to be recognized in modern times so we can make informed decisions as human beings when others' rights are being taken from them.
