Topic: American Civil War
Description: In this course, students will learn how different issues in our nation helped contribute to increased tensions and how attempts to compromise failed, leading to the Civil War. During this course, students will determine how the rise of sectionalism led to the Civil War, identify how slavery and states rights led to a divide between the North and the South, and examine the legacy of the Civil War & the enduring issues that stemmed from the conflict.
